*We have buses for transportation to/from the cemetery after mass. There is virtually no parking at the cemetery, so please use the buses. You may also opt to ride your bike if you're local / have bikes.

**The cemetery is very "Colorado" - the terrain is mountainous, so please wear shoes so that you can walk amongst nature comfortably and safely.

Please note, if you are driving from Denver / front range to Crested Butte via highway 50 there are signs that highway 50 is closed west of Gunnison. This does NOT impact your drive to Crested Butte as the highway is closed AFTER Gunnison (where you turn north to Crested Butte).

Thank you all so much for making the trek to Crested Butte - we are so grateful!

 FAQs

  • Crested Butte is very casual, so please embrace the casual vibe. Though it's July, it can be cold, and will be cold at night. Please bring layers to stay warm. Rain coat a good idea. A winter hat also a good idea. Recommended for ladies - leggings under a dress (or in your bag for when it gets cold).

    • Drink lots of water

    • Wear sunscreen / hat

    • Drinking alcohol - be very careful as it will have a stronger effect on you at high altitude

    • Dress in layers - it can be very warm and very cold all within a short time, and it rains often for a short time each day

    • Camp 4 Coffee - great coffee (owner, Al Smith, is a good friend of Richard's, and is doing a lot to help us with the events here), pastries, breakfast sandwiches - next door to Queen of All Saint Catholic Church

    • Pita's in Paradise - pitas, curly fries, salads

    • Butte Bagels - bagels

    • Teocalli Tamale - tacos etc.
